THE RADAR PROJECT IMPEMENTATION IS PROGRESSING WELL.

Deputy Minister for Works, Transport and Communications Eng. Atashasta Nditiye(MP) visited Julius Nyerere International  Airport(JNIA) Radar Installation site on 9 January 2019. He was impressed by the ongoing positive implementations of the four radars installation project.  The Radar systems will be installed at four major airports namely JNIA, Mwanza Airport, Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) and Songwe Airport.

 He made those remarks, during the official tour at JNIA project to witness development of the project and congratulates TCAA for the way is overseeing the project. He yet ordered for the speed up of the project implementation so that it ends on time.

The Tsh.67.3 Billion project which commenced on March 2018 is expected to be completed on September 2019.

Meanwhile, similar remarks were made by team leader of Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, Stella Katondo who is also the Director of Transport Environment and Safety in the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication (MWTC) when visited the same site on 8 January 2019.

She congratulated Director General TCAA and staffs at large for positive progress and hard work and asked them to keep doing good job and observing ethics for the betterment of the nation.

Prior to the commencement of their tour, they were  welcomed by JNIA station acting Civil Aviation Manager, Ms Mwanajumaa Kombo who showed her gratitude for their visit  as it incite moral support to keep on doing great job.

On his part project Manager, Eng. Kriston Mwala said that the JNIA project is almost complete, while KIA and Mwanza are at satisfactory stage as the civil works are on progress.

Songwe site is also progressing well and the civil works will commence on 1st February, 2019 and expected to end in August 2019.
