TANZANIA IMPROVES AIR TRANSPORT AND ITS INFRASTRUCTURE TO ATTRACT TOURISM

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has bought eight brand new aircraft for commercial use under the fully Government owned Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL). Alongside purchase of the aircraft, the Government has continuously been improving the airport to support air transport of both passengers and cargo both domestically and across borders.

 

 Indeed, the Government has decided wholeheartedly to invest in aviation so as to stimulate economic prosperity through various sectors of production including attracting tourist inflow into the country. His Excellency, The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli, revealed this during the May Day commemoration held at the national level in Mbeya on 1 May 2019.


Speaking to a thousand plus crowd, President Magufuli added that, improving aviation industry is vital and it is among the Government priorities today.
President Magufuli also ensured the Tanzanian workers that, the Government of Tanzania is always in their favor, that is why for the four consecutive years since he became the President of Tanzania, he has been attending May day commemorations. The President further promised to continue improving workers' welfares as much as possible since the economy of the country is continuously improving.
