PUBLIC NOTICE

INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS FOR AIR AND GROUND HANDLING SERVICES LICENCES

 Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) is a body corporate established on 1st November 2003, pursuant to the Civil Aviation Act Cap 80 (R.E 2006). The Act mandates the Authority to provide Safety, Security and Economic Oversight of the Civil Aviation Industry in Tanzania. The Authority also provides Air Navigation Services.

The regulated services under the Authority are air transport services, aeronautical airport services (airside airport operations, ground handling, in-flight catering and aviation fuelling) and air navigation services.

The Authority wishes to inform air operators and the general public that the TCAA Licensing Board will hold its Licensing Board Meeting on Wednesday, 31 May 2017. New applicants and operators whose licences are due for renewal between February and June 2017 or wish to vary their licences, are invited to submit applications as appropriate for consideration during the Board Meeting.

Applications for renewal of air services licences shall be in accordance with Tanzania Civil Aviation (Licensing of Air Services) Regulations, 2006, including regulations 8 (3), 25 (3) and 25 (6) of the Regulations.

New applications for air services licences shall be in line with regulations 8 (2) and 8 (3) of Tanzania Civil Aviation (Licensing of Air Services) Regulations, 2006 whereas new applications for ground handling services licences shall be in line with regulation 7 of the Tanzania Civil Aviation (Ground Handling Services) Regulations, 2012.

Copies of the referred Regulations and application forms can be obtained directly from the Headquarters of the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority at the Aviation House, Ukonga – Banana or downloaded from the TCAA website, www.tcaa.go.tz

Please note that, effective from 1 July 2013; licence application fees have been revised. You may refer the AIC 7/13 (White 91) of 6 June 2013 for the new fee structure.

All applications, with relevant enclosures, including proof of payment of the relevant application fees, should be submitted to the undersigned by 3:30pm on 2 April 2017.
