EAST AFRICAN AVIATION EXPERTS URGED TO IMPLEMENT AND USE ACQUIRED KNOWLDGE TO ENHANCE THE INDUSTRY.

The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority Director General Hamza S. Johari has called on East African civil aviation experts to use their acquired knowledge to improve the industry growth in respective countries so that to make a difference.

Speaking to 17 Ugandan graduates during the 270 graduation ceremony of the Civil Aviation Training Centre (CATC)   at TCAA HQ in Banana, Ukonga, Dar es Salaam, He said were living in era whereby successes are determined by how we set our objectives, strategies and implementation.

"You come all the way from Uganda to train; you leave today more improved, go and implement what you have learned to make changes to Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, Uganda and East Africa as a regional, He Said

With what you have learned you should facilitate your organisation to provide the best air navigation services and become the best civil aviation regulator, He added .

He thanked the government of Uganda and the civil Aviation authority in particular for choosing CATC as the center for their employee training facility, hence  expressed gratitude, promising to take Ugandan recommendations and opinion on improving the training very seriously.

DG Hamza also talked about positive attitudes which contributes  about 85 percent of the successes  in a working place.

More than 80 percent of foreign CATC trainees comes from Uganda. Other Trainees comes from Burundi, Namibia, Somalia and Swaziland.

The Tanzania Civil Aviation Training Centre (CATC) is owned by TCAA whereby it offers various civil aviation training courses including Air Traffic Management, Aeronautical Information, Security, Flight Operations among others.

The CATC is a Train Air Plus Associate Member, Institute of Logistic and Transport of UK. It also accredited by African Aviation Training Institute Organisation (AATO) and National Council For Technical Education (NACTE)
