Tanzania Civil Authority (TCAA) has commemorated the International Civil Aviation Day (ICAD) by planting 15 trees at the TCAA Headquarters in December 07, 2021.

Speaking on behalf of Director General, the TCAA Director of Corporate Services Mr. Teophory Mbilinyi said that, the Authority has decided to plant 15 trees in order to preserve environment by taking consideration the emphasis made by the Tanzania Government to make sure the nation fight against the impact brought by the global climate change.

Mr. Mbilinyi urged that, December 01st to 03rd, 2021 the Authority through managers from 14 stations under the Authority, went to various community radio stations to provide awareness on the roles and functions of TCAA, opportunities in aviation as well as promoting civil aviation training centre (CATC) which is under the Authority.

Additionally, Mr. Mbilinyi said, December 04th, 2021, the Authority prepared kids’ seminar intended to impart aviation knowledge in order to build their understanding and raise morale in aviation related activities since there are scarce professionals in the industry.

Also, Mr. Mbilinyi elaborated that, on December 05, 2021, TCAA prepared and conduct a 5 to 10 Kilometers fun run to TCAA staff and aviation stakeholders including Tanzania Airport Authority (TAA), Precision Air and Swissport.

“Yesterday December 06th, 2021 we donated 26 double decker that will serve 52 students in Azania Secondary school, this is part of Corporate Social Responsibility-CSR and I can assure you all that we will continue support our society in various aspects and this is part of supporting government in improving social welfare of the citizen”,

Furthermore, Mr Mbilinyi expressed that, TCAA support initiatives of the 6th Government of Republic United of Tanzania under the President Samia Suluhu Hassan in fighting against COVID-19 Pandemic, that’s why health officers were invited in order to provide vaccinations to TCAA staff.

“We have witnessed our President Samia Suluhu Hassan being vaccinated in public so I urged you all to continue support her initiatives in order to be safe. We are all have to be kin since there is new wave of COVID -19 which seem to be hazardous than the last waves. I insist you to continue with exercise since it helps in fighting against non-communicable diseases”, insisted Mr. Mbilinyi.

December 07th each year the World commemorates International Civil Aviation Day (ICAD) and slogan for the year 2021 is Advancing Innovation for Global Aviation Development.
