The Director General of the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA), Dr. Jabiri K. Bakari, hosted the Regional Director for Africa of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Dr. Agnes Kijazi, on June 12, 2026, during a courtesy visit to discuss collaboration on meteorological services and aviation. The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening meteorological capabilities, enhancing cooperation between WMO and TCAA, and advancing digital transformation initiatives to support aviation safety and sustainable development. Dr. Kijazi was accompanied by the Director General of the Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA), Dr. Ladislaus Chang’a, and Mr. Emmanuel Tumaini Kibebwana, Manager of Information Technology (IT).
