TCAA BEGINS CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK WITH FOCUS ON LISTENING AND SERVICE DELIVERY

The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) has begun its Customer Service Week celebrations, running from October 5 to 9, 2026, with a focus on listening to customers, responding to their needs, receiving feedback, and providing clarification on its services.

The week-long activities are being conducted at TCAA headquarters and its offices in the Coastal, Central, Lake, Northern and Southern Highlands zones, as well as the Zanzibar office. The initiative aims to strengthen service quality and improve relations between the Authority and its customers.

The celebrations began with customer service training for TCAA employees. Speaking during the training, Juma Fimbo stressed the importance of listening and commitment in delivering quality services.

“Good customer service begins with listening to the customer, understanding their needs, and taking timely action. The ‘The Extra Mile’ theme reminds us to go the extra mile in assisting customers, providing accurate information and ensuring that they receive services with respect and efficiency, as well as following up after the service has been provided,” Fimbo said.

Fimbo also emphasized that the customer is the employer to whom TCAA employees provide services, while TCAA acts as the representative of that employer.

The Authority said it will continue providing quality customer services beyond the Customer Service Week celebrations by strengthening its responsiveness to customers’ needs.

As part of this commitment, TCAA has established a Customer Service Desk to receive questions, feedback and complaints, while also providing information and guidance on its services. Customers can reach the desk through WhatsApp at +255 771 564 070, the toll-free number 0800 110 193, or by email at helpdesk@tcaa.go.tz and dawatilahuduma@tcaa.go.tz.

In addition, the introduction of TCAA services through the Civil Aviation Services Portal (CASP) is strengthening digital access to the Authority’s services. Through portal.tcaa.go.tz, customers can submit applications, upload documents, make payments, and track the progress of their applications.

The digital platform is intended to make services more accessible while reducing the time required to access and process applications
