About TCAA

Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority is a government body that regulates air services and airport services and provides air navigation services in Tanzania. It was founded under the Civil Aviation Act, Cap. 80. The authority plays a critical role in ensuring that an appropriate air transport system is established and sustained to support the development of the country. The authority's mission is to ensure safety, security, and regularity of civil aviation in Tanzania through effective oversight, provision of efficient air navigation services and training, while maintaining quality, protecting the environment, and safeguarding the interests of stakeholders.
